RAT ROD BMX
SO.... trying to find a way to earn more $ for my Midwest BMX donation program I got a phone call from my buddy who owns a speed shop. He told me this year he is going to give the program the 50/50 proceeds and some of the door prize money. So I was like hmmmmm what can we do to earn some more funds that a bmx guy and a car guy would like?
HOTROD!!!!!!!!
HERE IS THE BIKE STOCK.. I have already ordered a few custom parts for it. It is going to a buddy for some custom pinstriping and some added coolness...
Hopefully it fits the bill for hot rodders and BMX'rs alike....

You ought to see if you can get your hands on one of the flamed seats that Specialized bikes had a few years back.I have two of these seats for my two DK bikes,and these seats scream HOT ROD.

I just bought this, every bike like this needs a bell,,lol and i just added some old hotrod Moon eyes valve stem caps..
I also got a rear slic tire for it, and it is going in for a custom paint job and I will do the custom seat.

I love that Rat Fink bike bell. I was wondering if you plan on "weathering" the bike because rat rods have a weathered look. Maybe you could put some whitewall tires on it and find a wheel set with red rims,hubs and spokes.I saw an early 60's Ford F100 today with whitewalls and red wheels and immediately thought of your bike.

IT all depends on how time i have is to how much weathering and custom work i really get to do to this. but it should be a neat giveaway bike for sure...

Here is the fake slic. I wanted the real stingray one, but not for a hundie. This will do. Old NEW Duro. I painted the letters and will weather them to look right.. I was bored..

I am diggin it with the wheelie bar. I am now thinking of building one with some roller blade wheels. the pic of the guy with it slammed on the bar should definately sell this as a hot rod.
