1980 SE Racing P.K. Ripper

With a few small changes this is my rider..(seat & bars) Built this PK in a hurry (about 2-3 weeks) so I could race at an oldschool event earlier this year and I'm pretty happy how it turned out for such a rush job.. It even has a few of my old parts from bitd(cranks, pedals, spider & seatclamp). F/F are in sweet condition with original powder and Decals. SE powerwing bars.. Bullseye seatpost.. Skyway Grafite Tuffs(new) with Kool caps.. Takagi cranks.. DX pedals.. Sugino spider.. Kashimax seat.. Excaliber seatclamp.. Profile xxl inverted stem..
The old photo is me in 82 on my blue "PK"

Re: 1980 SE Racing P.K. Ripper

That right there is a Holy Grail ride!

How the heck did you build it so fast, unless you already had the parts in hand?  It seems like it takes me forever to find the stuff I need.

I am looking for:
- California Lite black seat pad / cover
- California Lite blue seat pad / cover

Re: 1980 SE Racing P.K. Ripper

Ive had the pleasure of riding this bike, and racing against it on my hutch, and my pk. It looks stunning and gets lots of comments trackside...as does the rider ! my wife reckons she took the action shot.

Check out this bike in action at  http://backinthedaybmx.wetpaint.com/pag … .s.c.a.r.s        or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CP7uFkhG … annel_page

Re: 1980 SE Racing P.K. Ripper

Very nice man, I would be afraid to ride it, I broke my 1st PK when I was a kid and weighed around 120lbs. I ride my Hutch Judge 2 but the PK is only riden by my 11 yr old daughter. It would be ashamed if you broke it, ride er gently smile
