1981 Torker 26

Not too many made as the 24" cruisers became more popular

Torker got into the 26" game a tad late but the wait was worth it!  The forks were designed in '79 but the frame was finally dialed in late 1980 and finally raced by Clint Miller April 1981 taking 1st place.
The 26" frame and fork were crafted perfectly just as the 20" but with cruiser geometry.  Frame wall thickness is 35% thicker than a 20" frame.  The cost BITD was $185 for the frame and $55 for the fork.
Wanted to feature the Torker sealed bottom bracket so the Cook Bros. cranks replaced Redline Flight cranks that Clint ran.  Torker BB's are stylish and smooth!
By 1982 the 24" cruiser was preferred as the standard so Torker came out with one September of that year.  The Torker 26" didn't have a long life span so not that many still around today.

I let the bikes speak for themselves as I am not a self promoter...I'm introverted online but at an event I love to discuss BMX history, bikes, parts, companies, riders, and memories!

Holy crap this cruiser is sick!  The parts, quality, and Torker black & gold are perfect.  To have Clint Miller with your bike must have been awesome?  Looks like the Jason Jensen bike is next to it, wow!

I'm in awe of this bike. So sick!!!

Your collection is truly incredible and quite the "how to" guide when it comes to building badass old school bmx bikes.

Need a roomate?

1st would have to ask the wife, 2nd we literally have no space left in our small house filled with bikes

Rampar, it was so cool to have both Clint Miller and Jason Jensen hangin' out with the Torkers they rode BITD.  Clint had some good stories to tell and loved racing for Torker!

Appreciate the + feedback

JOKE;A GUY WALKS INTO THE BAR AND ORDERS 3 DOUBLE SHOTS OF TEQUILIA. AS SOON AS THE BARTENDER POURS THE SHOTS THE GUY INSTANTLY SLAMS THEM DOWN. THE BARTENDER SAYS"YOU SURE DRANK THOSE QUICK BUDDY" AND THE GUY SAYS"YOU WOULD TO IF YOU HAD WHAT I HAVE" THE BARTENDER TAKES A FEW STEPS BACKWARDS AND SAYS  "WHAT DO YOU HAVE?" AND THE GUY SAYS"A BUCK FIFTY"  PICK UP LINE: I MAY NOT BE THE BEST LOOKING GUY IN THIS BAR BUT I AM THE ONLY ONE TALKING TO YOU.
