1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour
1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour
My first ever freestyle bike...my apologies to all the freestyle guys for not finishing her up...!!!
The frame and fork have all original decals...the post and bars have replacements. Also...thanks a lot Matt...!!! You let me know what brakes to get...but you did not mention how much of a pain in the @$ it is to wire them up. Found out the hard way to lace the brake wire through before attaching the forks...I just gave up at a certain point. I didn't even have the patience to cut a chain down for her.
I took some shots in the sun to show off how beautiful the condition of the original chrome is in. Love this bike...always wanted one when I was a kid.

Re: 1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour
Very nice PFT! I love the gleaming chrome and the polished cranks add nicely to that! Fantastic first freestyle build! I had to laugh at the comment on routing the pott's mod through the fork - FS bikes present a whole slew of challenges that race bikes do not. When I put my Profile together, I felt like I was missing something it was so simple! ![]()

cool PFT,never get enough of those I guess...and yes,the pedals rule!about those seats, pete brandt, eric emerson, and most well every other flatlander killed them around 1989,when the dumptruck /deathtruck became popular.for real,I remember that in june,1989,I ordered 6 2188's,and got six of these by error,at 6 bucks each, and killed them in less than two months, ripped apart...or bent rails, you name it.
