1989 Peregrine Craig LePaige Freestyler
1989 Peregrine Craig LePaige Freestyler
My goal with this bike was to build an all nos all Peregrine bike and I got about as close to that as I could. The only parts NOT Peregrine are the cranks (Redline flights), rear brake (Dia Compe 990), and the gyro (Odyssey). The Peregrine Q-bars were used but I had them rechromed. The front Peregrine brake is restored used. And the Peregrine 48 wheels are mint used. Otherwise everything on the bike is 100% NOS including the f&f. We always hate to possibly damage one of our builds, especially one thats all nos. But I can't help myself. I'm gonna have to ride this bike!

Thats awesome! I remember seeing the ads in BMX PLUS! about the frame & fork sets but thats the first time I've ever seen pics of one built up. It's an awesome looking bike.....Well done.

You deseve more credit on that build than most. Those frame and forks are very rare. You have done well. I think you are a bit like me and you will one day put Peregrine cranks on it. Treat yourself buy them on the bay. You know the bike deserves it. Teamharo

Re: 1989 Peregrine Craig LePaige Freestyler
I actually have a set of Peregrine cranks at the chrome shop as we speak. So they'll be onhere soon.
I've also added NOS white Peregrine axle extenders. I'm also thinking of pulling off the front brake and doing some serious polishing to it to make it shine like the chrome.
I'll post a new pic once everything is on.

Re: 1989 Peregrine Craig LePaige Freestyler
I always dug this bike. Peregrine brakes are my favorites too. They worked so much better than the Nippons they replaced back in the day. I wish I could find some more.
No offense but I suck at negotiating, so rule of thumb: When dealing with me just assume the price is firm unless I say "OBO".

Re: 1989 Peregrine Craig LePaige Freestyler
I am currently building up one of these Craig Lepaige Peregrines and I'm a pair of Q-bars, Peregrine cranks, and 1 Peregrine brake from completing the first one. Its looks great!
I'll have a Caucasian please.
I'm always down for buying Bullseye 191m and 196mm cranks. Yes they exist.....just not a lot of them

yeah, rock on!the only place Ive seen footage of anyone riding these besides craig is dorkin 5,where kevin jones tears the roof off on one of these!I do think they came out in 1991,though,along with the pro bar II's and some other parts like 36 hole super pros.

Re: 1989 Peregrine Craig LePaige Freestyler
Very nice build!!
I have a brand new LaPaige F/F never been built, decals are perfect. Anyone dare guess what something like that might be worth?? I'm looking to get into a Skyway TA frame to build up a dirt jumper with instead.

Re: 1989 Peregrine Craig LePaige Freestyler
Yeah, great bike man. The frame is awesome. Probably the most original thing Peregrine ever produced with the rear triangle and the twin tubes like that. Very nice.
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.
