1977 Huffy Mono-Shock
1977 Huffy Mono-Shock
Pulled out of a barn, slapped some 24's on it.
Craigslist find, pulled out of a barn. Steel wooled the gold spray bomb off and put some 24's on it along with new bars, stem and seat. This bike is smooth and fun to ride, I want to try it out at the dirt jumps.

No, the rear tire does not rub at all!

Interesting. So...the seat pivots at the rear when the suspension is loaded?
Looks pretty cool like that. I am surprised the rear 24 fit in the swingarm.

It's "hinged" behind the bottom bracket so the seat compresses down when loaded. The original seat/seatpost setup rides much better, it's not connected to the rear dropouts, it connects below the seatpost clamp.

Don't know about you guys, but I always threw chains when riding hard. The chain loosens when the suspension compresses.

Yeah, the chain does pop off when cranking too hard, need to customize a derailer.

Re: 1977 Huffy Mono-Shock
I had a Shimano SX 2 speed front sprocket with the matching front derailleur and rear chain tensioner on mine for a while. Helped alot, most of the time.
