Yeah, and my wife noticed that I gave the bike WAY more attention than I gave her.

Who didn't want one of those BITD! That bike looked too cool in that ad - of course what bike didn't look good in white in the early 80's. Thanks for showing us what a pro-styler should look like.

Man I hear you, I've finally moved on from staring at the ad after only 24 years.
JoeKat, this build is as good as it gets. I will ride my ass to the west side if I can take a picture crouched behind it like RL. I'll wear gloves so I don't soil its perfection with my grubby mitts...

I took it for it's first ride on Labor Day; one year after I completed it ![]()

Dude, that seriously gave me goose-bumps thinking about it. Very generous. My retro BMX fever is now at full boil. After only 2 weeks looking at the amazing work you all have done here at bmxmuseum, I've gone from "Screw that! I don't care about shining my rims, I'm going riding." To now, sitting here with my bike in pieces sending the f/f to be electro-static re-finished, sanding, matching and polishing everything else. As soon as this thing is back together, I am on my way!
