Re: 2000 GT Tour Jamie Bestwick
cheers bro, im riding it regular but really dont want to put a scratch on it. Therims are slightly flakey from the dust that was on them in storage. Can u believe i paid £150 for it!!! Do u have any idea what it is worth now. I heard it was near £900 new. Cheers for the comments man!

Re: 2000 GT Tour Jamie Bestwick
Yes, it was about $1100 out of the box back in 1999-2000. And that was a price without the GT Drive Shaft cranks, without titanium spindle and without GT 'TEAM' Pacman forks ![]()
With these parts on it costs somewhere near $2000, cause these were aftermarket parket from GT.
But don't try selling it, the price you got it, IT IS A SCORE!!!
And you're not going to get more than $500 by selling it to someone...tried and tested ![]()

Re: 2000 GT Tour Jamie Bestwick
It's a dead stock bike...and a true survivor in mint condition!
As long as i can see, it has the GT-Profile made-3pc cranks (GT 'Power Series' cranks) and the stock pac-man forks.
I'm pretty sure it will worth much more one day. Just consider that it's the last "PFT" ever made, was made in th U.S.A. and it also features the best specs compared its older brothers.
Check the one in my bikes. This one has all the aftermarket parts minus the titanium spindle, but hey, it a rider condition bike.
Duke.

Re: 2000 GT Tour Jamie Bestwick
Don't thank me for that...it's my pleasure ![]()
Stock forks came on every pacman GT/Dyno bicycle that was available that time. But this doesn't mean they were bad by any means.
I use them on my rider bike and GT Team guys rode them for a year or two.
'Team' pacmans came stock on 2000 GT TOUR f/f sets and 2000 Dyno Slammer f/f sets. And they were also available as an aftermarket part from a GT dealer.
These forks are much more solid than the stock ones but you will have to pay the price for it, which is the EXTRA weight.
They feauture a CNC'ed 1pc steerer with CNC'ed crown race mount integrated on the steerer and NOT welded. Steerer is thicker than the 'double thick' the stock fork has. . lol
CNC'ed are the u-brake mounts too.
And fork legs are even thicker with ovalized tubes and huge gussets over the pacman dropouts. Though these ones were not stamped with the 90's GT logo at all.
I have posted a guide on here, check it out, it has pictures and everything ![]()
