Here's a portion of a fellow club members email to me. He's in the Va beach area, we are wanting to have a ride/gathering and meet with other culb members.

"i ride with mostly with my sons...we have ipswitch trails in Chesapeake...hidden in a neighborhood..huge hips...

then Woodstock concrete park in va beach right off 264...smaller park and the other skate park and half pipe is at Mt. Trashmore....bigger, skatelite material...

for cruising...i go to the block at the beach...there are some trails at Seashore state park (First Landing)....near Ft. Story....there is also a new concrete park in Norfolk being built...near the little creek NAB....

whats cool...most of these spots are 15-20 minutes away from each other..would love to ride and meet some other members here...im old school..80's freestyle...i ride like a grandpa now...let me know....would be fun...maybe a meet and greet at Trashmore..."

So...anybody else in VA, have any ideas or interest in joining or suggesting of other locations.

Well this weekend we are having a yardsale on sat. and I have to work sunday(major bummer).
The following weekend, they are having a bike rodeo on post at the military store(bx/px) and they want me to attend with some of my collection of gooses for display.
I have to find out forsure which day it is and can let you know.
Im not sure of the time, but it will be re-scheduled if it rains.

I sent a pm message and a text message to mattygaff.
I haven't heard back from him yet.
I contacted another member but he says he's too far over the NC border to attend.

Hey Mattygaff, tedyo and others.

Here is what is happening on the 23rd of this month here on FT Eustis.(that's next friday).

The "HellonWheels" Team is going to be at our Ft Eustis "Super Day".

The post exchange is having a bike rodeo and sale on the saturday 24th(I'll be displaying some or most of my mongoose collection there).

So, looks like maybe sunday the 25th?

well...looks like i have a bday party on saturday...so probably sunday might be a good day to meet and greet...Mt. Trashmore sounds good or if you want to just cruise the block..lmk

Well either way or place?
But I have one buddy from work(him and 2 kids = 3 bikes maybe) and one buddy near you(him and 1 kid = 2 bikes) so far who are still interested.
Also it will be me and my grandson with maybe the Mrs(so maybe 2-3 bikes).

I've had other club members pm me, saying they would if they could and others not responding to specific pms(for whatever reasons ?).

I know my buddy up here is interested in the thought of going to Mt. Trashmore.
It doestn't bother me either way.

Okay, so it's this sunday at Mt. Trashmore park at 3pm till?

I have contacted our Hampton rds rep and sent a message to fellow bmx racers from the "Hamptonsupertrack".
So we'll see you there!

I'll bring the Jag, one of the Bluemax's and maybe my Supergoose.
It depends on the wife and which bike she wants to ride.

cool...mt. trashmore park is big enough to hold a bunch of us old timers...the skatepark is on the other side...viewing the interstate....ill probably be riding on a beatup haro or a GT....

BTW...remember to bring your helmets if you plan on riding the park or ramp...

will post up directions from 64 in a minute...

OK...Mt. Trashmore Park from Hampton tunnel..

Go down I-64 East...towards I-264 VB expressway...(heading towards the beach)
Exit 17A S. Independence Blvd....merge all the way to the left..the next light @ Edwin Dr. Turn Left (you should see the park on the right and a 7-11 on the left) Go down and turn right on South Blvd. (looks like a service road, basically going around the mountain.) turn right @ the last exit...park anywhere...(you should see the skatepark and halfpipe and kids playground)

and its basically the same if youre coming from the South...except your headed I-64 West to I-264 East...

on google maps...put Mt. Trashmore Park, Edwin Dr. Va Beach, VA 23452

if it rains...i guess it will be postponed?

What's the weather looking like down there?
Is there still a forecast of rain?

If you guys plan something again, let me know. Got friends in Chesapeak and I can hopefully come down. Still working on the Skyway.....may have to bring the cruiser though.

We are looking at planning again on a cooler day, either at Mt trashmore park again and the skatepark/bmx park or more towards the beach.
Possible location could be up near me and in one of the newport news parks?
It could envolve having our own foods/BBQ and such also.

We had some 20" regular size bikes and mini's too out riding with the kids.
Cruisers are welcomed, it's a bike!

Hello "number plate".
We were talking about another oldman ride, get together.
Trying to cordinate wives also(doubtful), the doubtful part is if they will attend.
But we are going to have another meet and greet.
Maybe including a small BBQ and a future swapmeet?

We may have it at the same place in Mt. Trashmore park or at Va Beach itself?

Any suggestions(time & place) are welcomed to me or "tedyo".
