VECTOR INFO NEEDS TO BE POSTED HERE.

I know a little about it. They are the coolest bikes ever in my opinion. They made them from 82 to 84 and had 7 dif. kind of bars. Seat and post. Frame and forks. What else? Im just trying to get as much info as I can out of you Vector lovers. Not much in the R and R section. Lets shine some light on this. What do you know? Anything will help and I will contribute as much as I can also. I would like to start a thread about Vector owners showing off their bikes but there isnt many owners. Show em and post any and everything you got. Come on!

I have a magazine with the Victory complete test in it. I can scan it this weekend if you want.

Re: VECTOR INFO NEEDS TO BE POSTED HERE.

Vector's are awesome! I'm dying to get a freestyler one day, one of the first gen's with the huge platform and the goofy loopy bar on the forks. Someday. In the meantime I built up my Mark 2. I'd like to find some Vector forks for it, but these work pretty good on it. It's kind of funny but these bars with these forks really remind me of current flatland bike set-ups.

(I know this pic make it look like a single down tube, but it's the double. Sometimes the white just gets insanely bright in my pix and i don't know until I've downloaded it off the camera.)

Re: VECTOR INFO NEEDS TO BE POSTED HERE.

made the frames from late 82/early 83 all the way up to 87/88 is what I was told several times.
pre serial frames supposedly ended in fall of 83
there were also overseas production I have been told the Victory completes after 85 are overseas.

Re: VECTOR INFO NEEDS TO BE POSTED HERE.

Vector expert, only one I personally know of and only one that there are pictures of on the interwebs that I could find.
its a very odd duck, mini forks mini sized frame tubes but with a longer top tube than a normal vector mini, also with dual downtubes where the mini vectors only have one downtube, and an american bottom bracket.

lol yes its real, got it from stevenbven on here, was hoping it was a cruiser but really just bought it for the forks, when I opened the box I pulled out the forks first and was like "WTF ARE THESE!!! mad" Then I pulled out the frame and was really like WTF IS THIS???!?!?!!?!?  At first I was confused, then mildly angry, then I got the jitters, then I got EXCITED.....Now I am just happy to have something this unique.....THEN I scored a hutch pit bike....yikesloltonguecool

Re: VECTOR INFO NEEDS TO BE POSTED HERE.

I own 6 of them (one up FS at this time) and love them. The early ones with the straight brake bridge are VDC made and are rare. I also own a NOS Vector Mark 1 pit bike (in my bikes) which has a single down tube, unlike its big brother.

They also only had two different kinds of sticker sets for the Mark 2 that came either black or chrome background. The Mark 2 only came in chrome, white, or black from what my research shows.

That's all I have for now smile

PIT BIKE! You had me going for a minute yikes  Thats a mini racer not a 16" pit bike.

The mark2 came in red also, lots of pics in my magazines of them being raced< might be a team color only.

It's so small I had no idea what it was lol Also, I have seen them red but thought they were painted after the fact. You could be right, they might be a Team issued frame set.
