1974 Webco
1974 Webco
Jeff Bottema's team bike
Jeff's actual Webco factory race single gusset hardtail!
The bike was og blue but Jeff later bombed it red. I have left it in the survivor mode. Enjoy a piece of BMX history! The B/W pic shows Jeff in action with it!
The color pic shows it as a proud owner shot when it was tweeked some more and finally a number plate from Jeff. This bike was aquired by Tim AKA "El DIABLO" and later sold to me.
As shown parts are:
74 hardtail frame
Junior Stingray seat, sissy bar with mag sprocket and seatpost w/clamp
Ashtubula cranks, neck and at one time in it's prior life sported the forks
Redline mild steel Northridge model race forks
Simi Motor Mags
Union pedal rat traps
Box bars w/ Hunt wilde grips
tioga BB and headset
Cheng knobbys
Bendix on the rear reads 70

Re: 1974 Webco
Did Webco's frame come already built or did you buy the frame and build it yourself?

Re: 1974 Webco
Back then Webco just sold the frame and you had to build it yourself. Later on when bmx started to take off everybody sold completes that were ready to ride minus the reflectors!

You can't get much further back into BMX history than this bike!
I'd love to hear more history on it and see some close up shots.

Cool but it's just replica model, I sure could use those mags though.
