I've had this '85 Viper since I was a kid. My kid rides the hell out of it nowadays.

Thanks eandmv.
I always thought the diamond plate gusset was an such iconic feature on these old bikes.

Here is my 1980 Large Pro survivor. This bike is all original including stickers. I bought it off Craigslist in Denver. The guy was the original owner. You can see the bike shop sticker on it.

You're gonna stand there, ownin' a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistlin' bungholes, no spleen splitters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker don'ts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistlin' kitty chaser?

Re: DIAMONDBACK FANATICS
Nice bikes. Question here: Did DB make number plates. I have never been to much into them but now Im thinking about one for my Silver Streak. Its the second one of the first post of this thread. All parts on this bike are nos except for the stem , seat clamp and brakes , which I am having refininished and re-decaled. The CW bars are temporary also. I have nos CW replacing those and may go with a kashi black leather or suede seat - nos or restored. I want this bike to be absolute show quallity. So I have everything figured out except the # plate. Since the bike is black , chrome and silver prizmatic decals , I was hoping to get some help from you guys on the plate. What size or brand or just maybe not get one. I have decided on not putting pads on it. So help me out here. Opinions please. Thanks.

Looks a lot like my '95 Assault. This is how I got it off of Craigslist. I just realized I don't have any pics of it cleaned up, I'll get some.

Here is my '84 Formula 1. This is completely OG survivor except the new tires, which are retro skinwalls from Porkchoppz. Oh, and the laid-back seat post is new.

Re: DIAMONDBACK FANATICS
OK Brackett, here is my progress so far. I am not restoring the bike I am customizing it. My favorite color ever, since I was a kid is that like green that Kawasaki uses. Ironically my daughter shares that in common with me. It was here i dea when we build this bike to use that "Kawasaki" green in place of the facroty pink. So, That is the plan. We'll see how it works out. So, instead of the bike going from white, fading to pink, then fading to chrome, it go from white, fade to lime green/flourescent green, then fade to chrome on the tail. There is no decals available for these 88 DB bikes, so I'll be making my own. So tweeking the decal colors will be no biggie since i already have to make them. Wish me luck guys. I hope you like it as much as I can envision it!
Here is the frame forks and bars after the bead blast (everything got blasted except the chrome on the tail). Ready for a good sanding, primers and a good coat of paint.
Here are the wheels. this was my first attempt at building a set of wheels. They have Diamondback Hbs (thatks to Brackett) and sun chrome rims. Tires are gumwall freestyle tires i got from BMXGURU
Here is a non-viscount dominator seat, brand new
ACS 55 stem, Diateck locking levers, chromoly seatpost and yes the mushroom grips are green because this buid is a custom, not a restore.![]()

Tioga beartrap 2
Gyro G#. I ordered white, they said they could do that. Black came in instaed yet the white cable came in too.
Anyway, the gyro will be stripped and painted white. I also have an ACS rotor coming in but i think I'm yusing that for my Woody build.
Diacompe Bulldogs for the front and Diacompe 990's for the rear

And last but not least, these beuty's i got from Colored Tuff's, Ed!

Re: DIAMONDBACK FANATICS

what i would call a survivor... see, it looks like its actually been through something so i looks as if it has survived something.
and yes, it getting completely redone.

plans are to paint this because the chrome did not 'survive' so well.
still looking for a silver streak decal set.
