1980 Anlun

Just finished my latest restoration...

Here I have a photo of my restored Anlun BMX. When found it was painted white and I have stripped it back to its original nickel plating. Except for the handlebars, handlegrips, seat and chain stays this is fully original. What do you guy think??? Does anyone have any info on this company???

I think ANLUN is like a generic, like AKISU or something...

I had an ANLUN frame 5-6 yrs ago, and it was shaped like a hutch frame, we thought it was a hutch when we first saw it, on the brake bridge it was stamped "ANLUN".

seems like I had some brakes or forks or some other part that was stamped ANLUN also...

I may be totally wrong.

Anlun was the manufacturer that built the Haro frames and parts. They also built frames for General, Kuwahara, and some Redlines.

Anlun made parts for alot of company's BITD,like haro,Made some 3 piece Cw .early 80's

generic. I thought so.

not necessarily bad - in fact the frame I had looked quite well put together, and was very very light, hell we thought it was a hutch until we saw the stamp..

I have an ANLUN neck that I used on one of my GT's when I was a kid. I have no idea where or what it came on got it from my cousin

Anlun made most all of the bmx parts that were from overseas. Anlun made put a popular decal set on and there you go.

When I originally stripped this bike it had a couple of UNIVEGA decals on it that I assumed were unoriginal. From what you are telling me ANLUN made parts, frames etc for all sorts of companies so I guess UNIVEGA was another.

Anlun made a ton of parts for Haro. All the Group 1 stems are anlun, as well as some of their cranks.. even the 3-pc ones.

anlun is the greates taiwanese tubing manufacturer,ala tange in japan,and were known to make most 80's and early 90's popular brands,including haro,kuwahara(post 85)redline,general,peregrine,etc,which is why most of these bikes had details resembling each other,very good quality for a taiwanese brand,the anlun kuwahara nova forks are one of the stongest old school forks Ive ever tried!

hey just finishing up my ANLUN. got it from a friend of mine and was all chrome like urs but now i painted it blue. im making my own custom decals for it. u want pics? lmk

i found the exact same bike that u have in a junk pile in the woods and restored it and didnt realize it waz a anlun till i seen the stamp on the rear wheel thingy last night, mine is painted black and is pretty sweet lookin, and i totally ditched my robinson for it

My '85 Master is an Anlun. It is still wrapped with tape with Red ANLUN printed on it. You still thinking generic?

Did Anlun make bikes that were sold as Anlun, or can someone ID this frame with another commercial bike company? ...Interesting!

I suspect that there is a misunderstanding here.
Chain stays are structural members of the frame.
They are the tubes that run from the bottom bracket back to the dropouts & it would be a major undertaking to replace these.
