1983 Mongoose Californian
Mostly stock version
This is very close to the bike I got for Christmas when I was 14. Best gift I ever received to this very day. I purchased a stock Californian a couple years back and fixed her up, and upgraded a few things like the pedals (XCII) and the MX1000 brakes, and added a red seatpost. Otherwise, it's pretty much stock. My son is almost four, and he already knows it's his bike among the three I have.

Sweet lookin' Cali !! Mine was a Christmas gift in '83 as well. Sadly I sold it 6 or 7 years later. Road cycling took over, thought I would never be into BMX again. I just bought an '83 f/f from a member on this site. Can't wait to build it up!
