So I just put my bike together today

Long story how I came across this bike but I bought the baddest 38 special that is the coolest it gets, but it was way too big for me and I didnt know it when I bought it. When I built it, it was just too long for short me. I happened to be talking to my friend KC about it, and it happened to be the EXACT frame he wanted. He was telling me about how he's friends with Tony Cardona and that Tony Cardona is a really cool guy and that he signed a frame of his without even telling him. The frame was too small for him, mine was too big for me, so we TRADED!!!

I got myself a new Tony Cardona SIGNED by Tony!!! I put it together with parts from the LTF I was riding, and some of the parts that were on the bike of which the frame I traded. I loved that 38 ever since I saw it but I couldnt help that it was way too big. And now both my friend and I are totally good to go! THANK YOU KC!!

Im not sure what it weighs but I think its around 25lbs. I had a 22lb LTF before and I didnt like it. 25lbs is perfect!! Using old version race bars, pitchforks, and a solid profile spindle. It could easily be a little lighter but this feels great!!

but this bike is way better than the LTF for anyone who is wondering!

it is a blast! first place i took it was to the banks and did some wall rides, then to a wash and ate shit, took hits to the knees haha! its ok though. i maintain that i would not have fallen if I had put the brakes on yesterday, but I was too frustrated to do the brakes so I did the brakes today. Its awesome!!

I'm gonna stop now before I say way to much, but seriously, that is one of the top 3 toughest S&Ms I've ever seen. You built that perfect. I love those colors together.

Why do you think it is way better than the LTF ?
Is it a diff. top tube length that fits you better ?

those are sick frames! My bud has one hanging up in his shop. Great welds, awesome tubing, just plain amazing. Does yours have the head badge or sticker?

milhous: yes the wheels that were on it were off my race bike so they had 3/8s axles, i took these off the LTF i was riding. those black wheels looked way better but they didnt have the 14mm rear

brad: thank you!! no it has a sticker i want a head tube badge though

quad: the LTF just isnt all that great, the tony has a little shorter of a chain stay length and just feels a lot different. I like this more than my LTF, but also I have to think, my LTF was too light, I bet it would have felt better if it had been a little heavier

How many sets of Profile wheels do you have? Ever want to sell any of them?
Also, check and see if your headtube is drilled for the head badge, a lot of the newer S&M's come pre-drilled for the badge........

My bud was telling me that they were supposed to have badges, but they ran out so they got a decal instead. His has the decal as well.

Regardless, it is a sick bike!

mine is drilled for it milhous

i have a few sets of profiles, its all i ride. but those black wheels were on the race frame that i traded, so I just stuck them on the tony with 3/8s-14mm adapters for yesterday to go ride, but today put the 14mm ones of the LTF. I was too lazy to take the LTF apart yesterday, all the parts on the TONY were on the race bike I traded. So today I got it all finished up. I like the all black wheels better on it though, sucks that theyre not 14mm and I dont feel like trying to switch the axles out right now haha!

brad, the bike is tight youre right that is BS that they ran out of badges, damn!!!!!!!

Nice, my RB frame was the same way. All I had to do was buy the badge and install it. No drilling required since the frame was alreaday drilled and tapped!!!

Those 3/8" Profiles would be perfect since I don't run pegs very often anymore..........

Dans has the headtube badges in stock. I just bought one last week, I don't know why though since I don't even have a S&M frame anymore.

i sold a set last week! thats the only one Im selling, I never sell my profile stuff, well I try not to.

that is BS that we both didnt get badges haha but the randy brown headtube sticker is really cool!! the tony one is nothing great haha

Love it very nice! Im sure there was a member here who had alot of badges (if you need some stinkin badges) hahah that made me burst out laughing!

So the difference is the chain stay length, shorter on the Tony? Are the TTs the same on the Tony and the LTF? I can see they used the same tapered tubing and theres no wishbone join. My LTF weighs in at a ballhair under 25, solid profile axle, 10mm front and rear, older slams, no pegs
