1979 JMC Short Standard

Red JMC923.  Sold to Andor LTD 8/20/1979

Picked this up on ebay, and the man himself, Jim Melton, hooked me up with some info and a certificate.

Re: 1979 JMC Short Standard

Oh man, does this bring back memories! - I'll always remember the cover of BMA with Harry Leary in mid-air crossed up on his white JMC...that down tube was always such a great looking design - too bad the frames on Ebay have been so hi-priced when they come up...make this one come together it would be well worth it!

Hope it went to a good home ...

My wife just came in to me and said, “I don’t know if I am coming or going.” I said to her, “Judging by the look on your face, you’re going – ‘cos when you’re coming, you look like a franking Down Syndrome kid trying to whistle!”

Re: 1979 JMC Short Standard

A buddy of mine has one of these fully built up. I just reconnected via FB and am trying to buy it.  Nice frame!

Looking for Cook Bros. slant stem (blue or silver), Cook Bros. BB, Cook Bros. hubs (blue or silver), and a Cook Bros. seat clamp!  Oh, and a set of black comp II tires!!

Re: 1979 JMC Short Standard

What is the difference between the Long Standard and Short Standard? I am trading for a 79 JMC and was curious to which it was. It has no JMC forks which I would love acquire!
