1992 Peregrine Craig LePaige Freestyer
1992 Peregrine Craig LePaige Freestyer
92 Peregrine 'CLP'
Craig Lepaige designed Peregrine freestyler, completed mostly with Peregrine components. A mid school classic in my opinion... It feels bulletproof, particularly with a superpro / new school hybrid wheelset. This is my winter buildoff entry, but i'm hoping to get some better pics done before final submission.

* Detangler: Odyssey Gyro2
* Front Brake: Peregrine FSX111
* Rear Brake: Dia Compe AD990

Re: 1992 Peregrine Craig LePaige Freestyer
Awesome. Finally a Craig LePage model built properly with everything in form so it actually looks rideable. Job very well done. I'm curious is that seat actual Peregrine with stamped logo or is it just a sticker on a Velo seat?
It's funny how few years ago nobody wanted these frames, but now, they go for crazy starting price at ebay. The downtube graphics design was never my fave as in "innovative" but it works in this build with the other parts. Thanks for choosing the ACS55 stem instead of the ever-so-boring obvious Peregrine "falcon" stem. The 55 looks SO much better in my opinion.
That is some bike you got there!

Cheers Timo! I appreciate the feedback. In regards to the seat, it is genuine. I hadn't seen one before either, but it's definitely not a rub on decal.
It is definitely set up as a rider... a few tweaks to make once the bike is submitted to the build-off - i'll change out the cranks for some gt power series, keep it kevin jones
. Also, those peregrine grips have to go, they are far too hard. Changing them out for some m jive handles shortly.
Again, thank you for your kind words everyone.
Heath.

Re: 1992 Peregrine Craig LePaige Freestyer
What's also really cool about this bike, is that you mixed parts from various manufacturers and didn't go the usual all-Peregrine route. Makes it more realistic AND interesting to watch. And to add to the cake, i really appreciate anyone who takes the time to shoot proper photos. It doesn't take much, and certainly sets the bike off from the usual cell-phone crap pics. Again, good job man!

Re: 1992 Peregrine Craig LePaige Freestyer
No doubt that those hazard lite rims are as good or better looking than the peregrines.

Re: 1992 Peregrine Craig LePaige Freestyer
mick, jim, timo and frank, thank you all.
timo - i couldn't really go all peregrine parts and still be completely happy with the final outcome. i still wanted to build it with the parts i've grown to love, regardless of what manufacturer or era they are.
tico frank - this is the second peregrine sealed bearing / hazard lite wheelset i've had, and they are unbelievable. i totally recommend looking into it if you find a set of spare hubs.
again, thanks everyone, any and all feedback is welcome.
heath.
