Re: 1979 Jag
"Hi" guys thanks for all the great compliments It's great to see that theres so many admirers of old school bmx and of course the mighty Jag. Well this isnt the first Jag I have had I originaly had a 78 Team Jag back in 82 that I bourght from a mate in Deception Bay north of Brisbane. But sadly like other bmxer's for some strange reason and also for my girlsfriend brother at the time who loved the my Jag asked me a number of times to sell it to him and wouldnt give in, so I decided to part with the Jag:(. Well guess what guys not long after selling the Jag for a mesly $200 at the time the chick broke up with me and I havn't seen either the Jag or the Girl since 1987:(. So Paul from Caboolture north of Brisbane if you ever see this please contact me as im very interested in finding out if you still have the Jag or you may know who may have it.

Re: 1979 Jag
very nice Jag, you have a great taste for bikes, I had a Jag from 1980 to 1986 when I sold it. My dad helped me build it from the frame up. She was black with gold ano parts except for the red ano tourney cranks and kkt pedals. A year or two later I tried to buy it back but found out the bike had been stolen from the kid who bought it from me. Steve, I've got a question for you. I know mongoose/BMX products made jag for 1978 and 1979, but then I remember a company I think called trackmaster built a new jag bmx frame without the headtube gusset. Do you remember or know what years these later frames were built and what was the last year for jag bmx? Keep Jaggin. and thanks for sharing fond memories of great old bikes.

Re: 1979 Jag
Sorry John thanks for your interest in buying the Jag but sadly she's not for sale. As a keen Jag'er and a previouse owner of a Team Jag. It has taken me a long time in finding a Jag and finding one that is in great shape. Thanks to a great ebay'er Warren who had already done the hard work by re-nickling the frame and Roger de coster forks, all I had to do is find the parts and put it together. And this is the end result. But if I ever do decide to sell her I will I will keep you in mind. Regards Steve Keep on Jag'n![]()
