help with landing gear forks and other pk ripper parts (newbie here)

ok i need help, i recently got a pretty old pk ripper. i think its and 80 or 81. what im reall looking to identify is the original parts that came on it. so any help would really be appreciated guys thanks. the forks are landing gear, but they are not cut on an angle at the bottom they are flat with no marking at all on them. also looking for help with the bars. they are anodized blue. i think they are se. the neck is a gold tough neck in great shape.

little info on the bike itself. it was a total basket case when i got it. my son is 5 and i allways wanted a pk when i was young but was poor and could never afford one. so im going to build it for when he is a little older and can appreciate it. i dont think im going all original. im going to save all the original parts that i have with it. but im going with a little more modern parts probably. not the new stuff. but probably stuff from 87 to maybe 94

first pic is the bike the way i got it. you cant see but it was really dull and crappy looking. the fork was super rusty. i have the frame polished and all the rust is off. on my way to building a sweet pk.

its definetly a looptail heres a better pic after i polished it a little. looking sweeter by the day. any clue what kind of forks they are? it was purchased from richards schwin in palos heights illinois.  i know they wouldnt sell this bike with some generic forks. the weird thing is where the axles go into the forks is large like the rear dropouts.

Re: help with landing gear forks and other pk ripper parts (newbie here)

nothing, its from my grandfathers barn. he has about 20 or so vintage bikes in there. its pretty much a gold mine. this was allways my favorite bike as a child so that why i grabbed this one for now. ill be going back for some parts. i seen a nice dk neck id like to use and i thin a uni seat. there was about 4 diamondbacks, bunch of haros and redlines as well. some predators. and i think i seen a hutch. there is too many to take in all at once.

its not in palos. and that barn is locked up like fort knocks anyway. plus you have to climb over piles of other stuff just to get to them.

Do the bars not look right or is it the angle in which they lay? I know the stem is not centered up.

yea i just took the stem off, it definetly wasnt centered. one of the grips is not on all the way so i think thats why they look uneven the way they layed

Re: help with landing gear forks and other pk ripper parts (newbie here)

The bars could be one of many - Race Inc, Win/Kusuki, Tuf Neck, or a generic brand. I doubt SE as the bends look too square - the shape doesn't look "SE".
I've read some people can tell if they are Race Inc by the thickness of the tubing (you would need to remove the grip), but I wouldn't know myself. They do have a Race Inc shape.
If they are Race Inc that would bump up the price, but they won't be worth the large amount the cr-mo bars go for.

The forks are probably Akisu or similar as you say, low end at the time.
The frame looks great, nice find. The correct forks pop up regularly, though price will vary depending on condition.

>> I forgot about the early SE Maxi Power bars (see ref section), they might have had those squarer bends around the stem area, you would need to research as I've only seen that one pic. Chances are they will be one of the other brands mentioned.

Is the seatpost chrome?
If so it is probably the original SE 13/16" seatpost, you wouldn't want to get rid of that as genuine ones are hard to find (or hard to find that are proven genuine).

Here's an example of blue Win bars on a PK. Not saying that's what yours are, but a possibility:
