are you gona try the low pivotal seat post stump ?
or do you plan to hack it off,  and use a regular seat post and clamp on it  ??

I am definitely going to cut it off and use a seatpost.  The biggest thing I am thinking about is if I should put some mags and a big chainwheel on it to make it look as old school as I can with all new parts or if I should go new school with a tiny chainwheel.  Either way though I want to be able to rise the seat up to be able to cruise around on it.

I say build it light weight.

if it comes in around 23 or 25 pounds complete you have achieved light weight bike status.
and believe it or not,  they do ride alot nicer when light.  -  just dont sacrafice strength for light weight parts.     maby some nice sumo or ukai wheels on it.    like black shiny sides or somethin will also help give it the old school feel.    there is a pair of black shiny side sumo rims in the marketplace here for 60$ I saw earlier.    would be dope on that frame.

also check the new 4 piece bars from odyssey.   I think they are called 88s ?
definately the old school vibe to em.

I take my dremel tool to my hutch parts.
I crash daily with my q bars. ( and I stomped the sweep out of them )
I scrape up my seats like no bodys buisness
and I drop my bike alot when I ride / fall.
you would be horrified watching me ride.

I want you to see it built up also, believe me.  It is hard sitting here looking at it without being able to take it for a ride.

i think you should go 100% new school.....i also like the seat post the way it comes, although i know it is hard to cruise on when it is so low.   you spent the money on a sweet new school frame, you should go newschool with the build IMPO! smile  (NO MAGS!!)

Re: anyone have/seen a subarosa twin top tube? 2010 signature model

Once you chop the top of the seat post off it functions like any normal seat tube. I would chop it off and then go with their new layback seat post, talk about newschool/oldschool goodness.
