Incredible. Did you have to carve the welds, or did the wax pool like that as you applied?
oh hi

I was wondering the same thing.
I am blown away by this project.
I also like how you aren't even sure of how to make the chain but no biggie, figure it out in due time.
PLEASE keep posting progress!!!

I wish, I had to sculpt those welds and it was a nightmare. after trying various techniques i ended up making sausages by rolling the wax then applying it to the frame, then i had to sculpt the each weld shape bit which took ages then i finished it off by wafting a flame over it to soften it off. they look a tad to harsh at the moment but when they get colour then lacquer over them they should look perfect.

Re: 1/3 scale PK RIPPER project.
heres some pics of the ally hubs and the freewheel. i already had the main bit of the hubs as i cnc'd them a while ago but today i made the centre parts and the rivets along with the freewheel. the middle bit of the freewheel will be black and i need to de-bur the teeth a bit. I made the freewheel using manual machines ( no computers) i'm quite pleased with the teeth and the general look, hope you'll agree. I cant PASS it until i've had approval from you lot.

and one for scale.
cheers peeps.
