i have been using a guy here in biloxi mississippi. his name is leo. he runs a one man shop, and does outstanding work. so far he has done 4 frames, stems, seat posts, countless small parts, and some motorcycle frame, forks, and assorted small parts for me.
the quality is excellent, turn around time is fast., and his prices are low, low, low!!!!!!!!!
look in my bikes, as i am adding more of his stuff all the time.

right now, he has a profile champ, and an old school mongoose of mine. he is doing them both in a bronze. both are the same, but i'm only keeping the profile. the goose is for my cousin coming back from iraq.
i highlly reccommend leo, he does flawless work, tapes off all the things that need to be taped, and like i said, his prices are low.

Paid $150.00 shipped for the work. Sent him all parts FULLY STRIPPED and ready to prep n paint.
May be more depending on condition. He was great to deal with and was ultra fast both on communication and turnaround.

Re: Powdercoaters & painters: Post your contacts
It isnt' like cars, where bikes come with paint codes in the serial number. Its not a rare bike as Dynos were produced in number but if the paint looks good why change it. Keep you eyes out for one with bad paint, buy it cheap and get that one custom painted would be my advice.
***FYI*** alot of Old School bikes were Powder Coated. Check the old ads, bike tests before Painting to make sure it was painted BITD and not Powder Coated. If you are going for authenticity.

Can you powdercoat over Chrome? I have a chrome frame thats in real good shape but would rather have it in a color.

mine was done over chrome. If it is not flaking, you should be ok.

I have a couple of Redline frames that are powder coated over chrome on the front triangle. Powder coat is even better then paint over chrome, it's solid, you shouldn't have any problems.

Great Dane Powder in Loyalhanna,Pa
They charged me $125 to powder my frame,forks,2 sets of profiles, a set of bars and a seat post which i found pretty cheap. My frame, forks and 1 set of profiles was already sandblasted so they didn't charge me for that. They were gonna charge me $175 until I got the frame, forks and profiles sandblasted then they lowered the price. I just dropped the frame off on tuesday and they said the turn around time should be about 2 weeks so I'll post some pics when I get it back
