I went to North Harbour Yesterday, that second jump gives me the willies. And I get seasick on the last straight.

lol in the last two months Ive been going back Ive seen about 4 kids stack it on the first double up , a kid fly over the 2nd n land on the wrong transition , bounce and literally fly to the bottom on the other side , and another kid tee bag himself cause his feet slipped out on the 2nd n got the back of his legs caught up in the pedals , kinda why im not doing any jumps there until Ive had practice

I dont have the speed to jump it. That part of the track is quite slow, 5/6kph slower than WTK. I measuered the gap at 8mtrs so a big one. It started to manual it ok though but not sure how it would work out in a race.

Re: New Zealand

there always this guy in a nz shirt n pants that always goes there, has a buddy with him sometimes , clears pretty much every jump on the track along with the pro distance ones next to the table top on the 3rd straight , i used to like the track back in 95/96 when the jumps were half the size lol and there was a table top that was mean to hit just after the last turn , where the rhythm section is now

dave... 3 super awesome rides, unreal.  i don't reckon you should paint the rl22 though!  is that original finish/decals, or has paint been stripped at some stage?

this chrome rl22 is one of my faves...

i'll dig around for a repro peregrine chainwheel i've got somewhere for your haro... is that what came on the team models? also, did you get on to ultraHIVE?  if you do an order, i'll add some on.  i need a few of his at the mo.

anyone have any white gyro cables?  the street styler has had a full changeup... trying to make it a more practical rider.  i'll post pics at some stage.

been heading down to vic park at 6.30am every morning before work... awesome having the whole park to yourself... i don't feel like such a clown when i bail lol

Cheers Heath..

I dont think its original in chrome, can see white paint in the headtube & BB
I kinda unsure about the painting  it, as its a stunning frame in chrome with all the tube bends, & really nice welds

Yea the Team Model Sport's came with a Peregrine Chainwheel.. mine has one, just completly covered in gold spray paint tho

Haven't got onto ultraHIVE yet.. but he does have some that I am after.. so will let you know when I do

Re: New Zealand

I'm looking at moving some parts I have had laying around for some time, and I want to offer them to fellow NZ'ers before I offer them to the wider collecting community. I've got the following:

1981 GT Mini Frameset
1983 GT Mini handlebars (with A'me Mini grips)
NOS Araya 1 1/8 rims (polished silver) and 4 x Rainbow logo Comp III 1 1/8 tires (NOS)
Dia Compe MX900 mint front caliper in silver (I call mit mint because it is a NOS caliper which appears to have a used Weinman adjuster on it)
NOS Dia Compe brake pads (5 pairs)
Haro Circuit Board number plate
A'me tri grips in black (mint)
NOS Sugino 44 tooth chainwheel in red
4 NOS Koolstop Continental gray brake pads
blue knockoff two piece seatclamp (Dia Compe two piece style)

If anyone is interested in any of these items, email me at axsyscnc@ihug.co.nz for photos etc

Right now the track needs a sweep, now that racings back on it start to be done from this week. Also there is some big things about to happen with the first and last corners to make them more than one line. And they are going to do some thing with the back straight to make it faster.

I was there yesterday morning, what time did you get there?

I know what your saying.. I had a set of grips get here in four days from the US, yet other stuff take 5 weeks!!
The majority of these dudes seem to think we dont know how long it takes to get here, 6-8 days from when its posted usually..

Sounds reachable..  If we could get a few others from the south keen to justify putting a vehicle across the strait then its that much easier...
