1981 Kuwahara KZ-1

1981 kuwahara kz-1 frame and forks, nos decal set.

ukai speedlines, bullseye hubs, asahi spokes..

tufneck pro stem, redline stamped chr-mo v-bars, oakley .5's

dc mx-1000 with skyway pro pads, shimano tourney with vans koolstop pads.. dc tech II levers..

maxy cross cranks, kkt lightnings..

suntour seatclamp, chr-mo layback post, elina lightning bolt..

nos kuwahara padset, and haro flo-panel..

really nice kuwi,nearly finished my repro kz1 and it rocks too but hopefully got an og set of f/f winging their way to me,pics of both coming soon!

thanx bro.. they look great black and gold so that was easy enough.. just the long painful wait for those one or two parts you always need to finish things..

Dude that wheelset was made for that bike. They look so awesome on that. Beautiful bike. Glad they worked out for ya and did'nt get damaged on their maiden voyage to new zealand.

thats what i though as soon as i seen them! but thanx heaps for hookin me up, just need the tyres bought up to the same standard and this ones done.

Thanx, took a while to get there.. This was being raced by a 10yr old at our local track so i asked his parents to get hold of me if they ever wanted to sell it..
Six months later they ring up and say that if im happy to pay $50 (nz) for it then its mine.. It was in my shed and totally stripped in under an hour.. The only bits still there from the original purchase are the frame and forks..

I am sure that it took you a while, gathering all these parts. Getting the shipped to New zealand..

It's good to hear that it sometimes pays out to ask around, guess you already forgot about he bike when they called you. Even no need for lowball offers, lol.

For sure, a couple of years and a couple of thousands dollars.. A long way from the original $50 purchase price..
I would hate to think what iv'e spent on postage in the last 2-3yrs....

But it takes some time with certain bikes to reach that point.
