1979 Diamondback Medium Pro
1979 Diamondback Medium Pro
This Diamond Back Pro was purchased as a Christmas present as a child. It was a boyhood dream to have one,but they were hard to find locally so my dad saved up each week and then traveled to Sydney (Australia) to buy it for me.I rode the bike for years but eventually out grew it.My father stored it under the house where it lay dormant for around twenty years! I needed a hobbie so i took up an interest in old school bmx bikes and remembered the bike that was under the house.I was amazed to find the bike in such good condition.I had the framed re-chromed and purchased a sticker kit from Retrospect BMX .All the original parts were salvaged.I would like to thank Retrospect BMX for an awesome sticker kit and BMX museum for giving me the BMX bug again. Also a big thanks to dad for buying the bike thirty years ago, thanks dad!!

Re: 1979 Diamondback Medium Pro
nice job. those cranks and peds are in amazing shape! too bad it had to be re-chromed. I think some OG comp IIIs would really complete it.

Re: 1979 Diamondback Medium Pro
I must tell you that I was pretty choked up to see a perfect example of the bicycle that I purchased in 1981. It brought back so many memories of my childhood. I raced that BMX and it never let me down - always finished in the top 3
