1985 Mongoose Californian

When i was about 14 had the same bike it was the love of my life.I was hangin in another part of town when a older scumbag said thats a real nice bike could i have a ride.He lived rite across the street from the kid i was hanging with so i didnt think nothing of it.I let him ride it he came back about 6 hours later.Thats the last time i saw the bike.I never got over it still to this day if i think about it, it killllllllllls me.Glad i have this one now it helps alot love this bike my absolute fav. MYONE loving the cali! Sorry to hear about your story when you were younger. a simular thing happened to me. The bike after my Ammaco team special was an Ammaco freestlye pro in beautiful white. I loaned it to a mate and never saw it again, "it got stolen" he said. I was seventeen and i could of cried. Wish I had it now.

I need hutch stuff!

It sucks we had to deal with sh*t like that as kids i just hope our kids dont ever have to feel that pain and fear of getting the most important thing in thear life atthe time riped away from them .Did anyone ever get jumped for thear bike?

I didnt but my brother did. Outside a Thrifty in Fresno while visiting grandparents for the summer...
He was distrought....
Someone tried sawing my chain at school and stealing my PL20 Carrera...everything was fine though thank god.

Found my brothers bike in the end. No wheels or bars..after all it was a crap bike with Tuffs on. mad

...they say "in life, its best to keep your feet firmly on the ground"...
        ...how the hell can you do that while having fun!!!...

Beuatiful bike, myone.  I feel your pain with the bike getting stolen.  My Californian (in my bikes section) was the replacement for the 1985 Californian that I got for Christmas that year.  The red accesories look great on your bike!  Good luck with it.

I agree, this is a clean sweet ride you have "myone".
I need to find me one for my flock of geese collection.

I'm looking for the following frames, frame & forks or completes by BMX products:
MotoTrac (nickle or chrome), Racer-X or a Super-X (with the double gussets preferred).

I had a californian years ago. Mine had all chrome and polished parts. Looks great with the red mate. I always liked to put a different colour trim in my pro class wheels. I even had some spare chrome strips for that bling look. Keep up the good work mate. You have some nice rides.smile
