1998 GT Power Series
1998 GT Power Series
(SOLD)
this is a GT power series. all aluminum frame (very light!!!) has black GT mohawk hubs! GT racing handlebars PRIMO grips. GT sprocket and crank. GT forks. the only mod done to it was the seat was change out for a SERFAS GEL SEAT and diffrent pedals were added...frowns...its a fairly nice bike the only things i dont like about this bike are the hideous welds...very thick and gaudy!!! and the crank bearings suck! otherwise its awesome! i rode it 25 miles today and its a tank. im impressed on how smooth it rides. im not really one for the newer GT's but for the steal i got it for i ccouldnt pass it up. so one more GT/dyno to the collection!!!! GT 4 life!!!!!!!!!!!
...a few days later. pulled the crank apart and found the bearing cones all chewed up and beyond repair...oh well i had an alterior motive for this!!!...GT 1 piece crank sealed bearings!!!!!!! so i threw them on today!!! and OMG its 1000000x better!!!!! sh*t rides sooooo smooth!!!! an awesome upgrade for any GT or dyno!!!!! a must have!!!!!!

Re: 1998 GT Power Series
I had the same frame except mine was a navy blue color, I took all the parts from my 97' Interceptor and put it on that

Re: 1998 GT Power Series
yeah its a super light frame its nice but kinda ugly for a GT. definitly has some good parts though. i wanna upgrade the hubs and get some stronger hoops for it. the stock rims on it now kinda suck ive already put a lil bend in em just doin some street ridin...lame.

Know of a sealed headset for these bikes? I thought that was only available to the threadless fork guys?
