Re: 1983 Haro Freestyler

WOW, Very nice!!!
I wouldn't re-chrome it if I were you. It looks to be in great condition, and those frames weren't Super Chrome anyway. they have a natural rough texture on some of the parts like the dropouts. I'd keep it authentic. Before companies started triple chroming their bikes.

This is one of my absolute favorite bikes of all time.

Congrats.

Haro looks sweet to me from what I can tell. Decals appear to be in good shape too!

Re: 1983 Haro Freestyler

Restore/rechrome ????  What's wrong with it?  Looks killer!

I'll motion with the others on NOT rechroming this bike.  It doesn't need it.  Why is everyone always so upsessed with restoring them as soon as they get 'em?  Only restore them if they are rusted out junk or when the chrome/paint is jacked but when they look this good they don't need anything in my opinion other than cleanup.  This bike looks fantastic as it is and in my opinion worth more in this condition.

I do agree with putting Vector bars on it and a set of flights or sugino 400s.  The mags kick arse too.

this puppy would be hanging in front of all my other bikes.  Congrats on the new ownership.

You don't see a Haro like that with rims too often, sure gives it a different look.. Best bike in the world you have there. A true Haro..

Re: 1983 Haro Freestyler

Love the Z's on it!  +1 on the original finish.  I have seen a few show chromed and it just kills the originality.  Keep it crisp and with the slight texture!

Cool, a new bike.  Wait a minute.......where am I going to hide this one.  She's going to catch me for sure!!!

Re: 1983 Haro Freestyler

Being old school old race guy- Haro is the ONLY freestyle/trick bike I could consider owning. Let me get in line behind those before me when you decide to sell it. roll Let this piece of history shine in its current glory and do not rechrome.  I just needs RL or Buffy doing a bunny hop over the seat!cool
