Very sharp looking bike
Well, I certainly hope it will not crack! (trin pray)
I don't plan on riding it very aggressively, and I only weigh 155 pounds. On a side note, I had to buy an aluminum shim for the seatpost as the seatpost is only 25.4mm and the seat-tube is 27.2mm (larger then ever), So I would hope that that area of the frame is stronger then ever before.
I noticed that the 'brace' welded on the head tube is not the same as pictured on SE's webpage for this bike. I guess I don't mind because it makes the frame look more symmetrical.
Though I wonder if it is a structural improvement or not.
"Very sharp looking bike"
Yeah, that's exactly what I thought! I was browsing the web a few weeks ago and I wondered if they still made P.K. Rippers to this day, Found SE's website, then the bike,,, and became Obsessed with it,,, I could not sleep until it was mine!!! I'm an old-schooler in bit a of a 'revival'.
Now I just wish I could go back to 1981 to show it off...![]()

Alright, alright... I lowered it a few inch's!![]()
I'm kinda tall for a 20" bike. And I'm in my 40's... No more than a small bunny hop or curb jump for me.
And I don't want my knees hitting my jaw as I cruise around the hood.![]()
Still don't know why kids these days ride around on sweet 20' bikes with the seat at the lowest possible position.... Wait... I think I know, Lemme guess... To keep their pants from falling off?!?...![]()

Re: 2009 SE Racing P.K. Ripper Team XLP
nice bike! if I was buying new, that is probably what I'd get. I raced one in the 80s.
same deal with seat post here, mine doesn't make the bike look great overall, but I like/want/need the extra legroom for cruising around. 6' human at 38 years of age -- comfort > *
I also had to " buy an aluminum shim for the seatpost as the seatpost is only 25.4mm and the seat-tube is 27.2mm" it fits prefect and I have no worries about cracks, if it does, then I have an excuse to buy a PK Ripper frame
that was my first eBay purchase as no one seems to sell them locally, happy as could be though

Can either of you 2 gentlemen that own this bike tell me what size the dropouts are? I just ordered myself the exact bike for a cruiser and was hoping to add a set of white Skyway Tuff II's.
Peace
