2002 Alliant Pro 24

Alliant 4 Life.....

NonStock Crew.....

It took me 6 months of graft getting this project together.
Everything has been anodised either bronze or gold.
The bars,forks & crank arms have been treated to a lick of copper plate.
A big thanks goes to Pete Flury for the inspiration.

That is AWESOME! Do you have any more pictures? How about some info on the copper-like finish? How/where did you have that done?

Everything Alli has been anodised either bronze or gold & the forks,bars & crank arms have been copper plated. This project has taken 6 months & that includes sorcing parts aswell.

I found this great guy outside London UK to do all the anodising (2 trips) & he done it whilst I waited & I was fortunate enough to help out too. We have became partners now. The whole process is amazing & watching it change colour before your eyes is mind blowing. The frame was the hardest to do because all the holes (to expel heat when welding up) in the frame fill up in the dipping process & it's the draining out which is the tricky part. If your not carefull it will run out & leave smears like stains & have to be stripped again & start over. If your thinking about plugging the holes well you can't because then the frame will float in the tanks & you can't have that..

A.Finding someone, to take on the job of a frame & B, to get it right. Is a tough one.

The copper was done outside London too & this was a 3 month wait for it. I was going to leave the finish Raw & polish up as & when but I did'nt know how many times you can polish without going through so I had them clear coat it.

The attention to detail is simply amazing! Even the underside of the seat! That bike literally looks like a million bucks...

Agreed......this has got to be one of, if not the, sickest cruiser on this site......color combo, craftmanship, originality.......absolute sweetness!!! Nice job.

The rims are 36 hole T H E run flat rims.... I was searching for a nice set of rims without eyelets so I could get them anodised aswell.. These turned up on the mountain bike market & they were perfect albeit a tad heavy but they still ain't buckled yet....

This bike is my daily rider now & I have dropped it a couple of times too (drunk bar spins).......opps... bar ends & crupi cages are well scuffed up now....But I must say I'm enjoying it & she runs well sweet....

i wonder how sick copper plated accents like that would look on a sterile flat black frame, especially after they've tarnished and dulled out a bit like an old penny? can you imagine that on a frame like the immortis? that would be pretty wicked.

congrats on building and owning one of the most original and beautiful bikes i've ever seen

Very different and friggin cool. It took me a min or so to warm up to it...but after looking at the detail pics and seeing just how detailed the work is...I really like it. I suspect it looks even better in person! Do you have an pivs of it outside??

Glad to see you ride that bad boy...doesn't do anyone any good sittin' on a pedestal..!
