1985 Powerlite

Candy Red Powerlite

I built this for my cousin a couple years ago. I had built my own childhood replica and couldn't shake the need to build another one. The frame was originally chrome. The decals are not era correct but they seemed to work best with the new paint. Many of the parts on this are the original used parts that came on the complete bike. They have been polished or painted. A fun build and a twin to my RA7 #2.

Re: 1985 Powerlite

Stuman, no those are just VP pedals with the reflector mounts cut out and the cages polished. Not ideal but... looks kinda old school. Thank for the kind words guys. I love this bike. I finally built a website for my builds so you can see much better pictures (bigger) of this bike here: http://nicjohnson.com/vbmx/main.php?g2_itemId=205  This has all the before/after picts of the build.

Re: 1985 Powerlite

Great pictures on the website. I've got to learn how to polish stuff. Your polished parts look great with the candy frame.
