Re: 1979 MCS Magnum XL

Sweet! My first real bike was a Magnum 2000, maybe around '82ish. I cracked the frame, but I still have it. Unfortunately the forks are long gone. The MCS bars and stem went on my JMC, which I'm restoring right now. Your right, these frames are REALLY light!

Re: 1979 MCS Magnum XL

I love these MCS' they had perfect geometry and I believe they were the only bikes that had cro-mo dropouts, they were paper thin but strong as hell. I had one and it was indestructible.

I do NOT have attention deficit disor.....HEY! lets go ride our bikes!

Re: 1979 MCS Magnum XL

Dude, I saw an ad on a PDF file from around 80 that had all the frames, forks, bars, and posts available that year laid out. I gotta find it for ya...

This isn't the ad I mentioned, but it's one from Jan 81 and has your Magnum and Spider frames... scroll all the way to the bottom...
