1999 Redline FS 880

Note: 1999
SOLD!!!!!!!
My version of the greatest bike ever made(RL Osborns Redline RL20-II) in a newer version

Bought this complete off of E-Bay, within hours of receiving it I changed out decals for some 86 flavor, put on a DK Trail stem, Redline aluminum Forklifters, Redline 180mm Flights and chainwheel. After that I decided to do a retro tribute to RL Osborn in the form of an 880. This is my rendition. Painted my self ( I was going to have C4 powder coat, but bought my RL-20II instead) hand made my number plate, had to buy two pair of FOakleys to make the grips, found a chainwheel on the bay, and thanks to Beast44k for the hook up on the Duker stickers, and RL20IIguy for the B.F.D stickers and the Flights. This has been fun to build and my daughter is now wanting me to redo her Redline Proline Mini next. But my plans are my 88 RL20-II next!!!

Re: 1999 Redline FS 880

That's a cool build!  i've seen a few FS880's built like RL20II's.  I always like RL's Hazard Yellow RL20II.  A friend of mine owns RL's actual Hazard Yellow RL20II, he bought it about 2 years ago from another collector.

Here are some pictures of an FS880 that was built and owned by VintageBMX member Ironhide, it's a retro replica of RL's Radberry RL20II.  I also attached a picture of me riding RL's Hazard Yellow RL20II back in May when I went to see my friend.

Re: 1999 Redline FS 880

That is so sweet, I have seen Hanging with RL's Bike on vintage, so jealous. I still have a lot to do on this one, but it will get there. Love that Radberry custom you have.

The Radberry custom isn't mine, it belongs to 'Ironhide' on VintageBMX.com.  I just posted it to show you.

Ironhide has a sweet ride, and how awesome was Riding "The Holy Grail"?

Re: 1999 Redline FS 880

Ironhide does have a sweet ride and so do you.  I like the idea of doing a replica but as a retro bike.  It seems more imaginative.

Just seeing RL's Hazard Yellow was exciting but riding it was really cool.

Here is an 85 RL20 and an 85 RL20II that I had re-chromed and powder coated Hazard Yellow by Chip at C4 Labs.  I'm building them both stock.
