I've got maybe $900-$950 in it. 

Frame was on sale at Flatland fuel, cranks were used, sprocket was used, front wheel was used, rear rim was at a discount, freecoaster was on sale at flatland fuel, bars were on sale, and tires were new but bought from an individual. 

I actually could have done it for $600ish if I went with some cheaper items, such as the fork, stem, headset, seat & post, etc. 

However if I was going to do it all over again?  I'd buy a complete off of ebay.  Lot's of people are unloading $1200 one year old bikes for $500.
