1994 Standard Shorty

Standard shorty frame and fork

I picked this up out here in Colorado for the cranks and it has some history but unfortunately I only know bits and pieces. Fred Gates, a factory rider out here back in the day recognized it as one of the first shortys that some other rider out here got from Rick. I think he said it was pink originally. It had boss cranks. It is custom painted black with red specks that show up in the sun. I am into 70s and 80s bmx, so this is collecting dust.

Nice shorty.  Don't see too many of those.  So beefy.  Fred Gates?  I used to ride with him back in the day in Thornton CO.  Do you have information?  He can check my profile.

I don't have his contact info, but I think a buddy of mine does.  I ran into him at Veloswap but I met him at an old school bmx gathering.

Re: 1994 Standard Shorty

Any informatioin would be greatly appreciated.  I was in Denver for my 20th reunion and as I drove through the old neighborhood I swung by his old place (I doubt he lives there now) - it would've been cool to see him again.

I'm perpetually broke, but just looking for little deals here and there. Looking for midschool freestyle things primarily.
