Re: 1981 Boss 24"

Carlo told me that he never used Panda parts on a Boss, He did make custom frames for his riders though but they were not production. Richie was on Patterson in 1981 that could have easily been Ronnies cruiser. But it is possible that Carlo made it for him. I will ask him i talk to him often. nice job on that bike i just got some clean old school Boss cranks and spyder for my 26 inch Champion Boss cranks are the best. Designed by Frank Post my buddy.

Re: 1981 Boss 24"

Cool bro, what i have stated in my post is what was told to me by a seller on ebay where I purchased the frame, he said ritchey broke it and carlos built it
i would never say some dumb A$ poop to pump up a bike or a build, i was spitting what i was told...needless to say i frickn love the frame its sick, hey bro its funny you mention frank post , i got to ride and practice around him a few times when i was a kid , i used to ride and practice at Willow Creek and twilght in concord cali , ronnie anderson would come threw with bob madrano i was younger and used to watch them rip ...anyway peace to you dude and let me know what Carlos pitchs about this frame i wish i could hook up with that dude roll a monster and have him weld the frame the right way then i would have a full Carlos rig.. i would hate for anyone to really fix it.. i'd rather leave it munched by ritchy ...PEACE GODFATHER... ps...if you talk to bob or any of those dudes i was the blonde haired kid that worked at contra costa schwinn..they no who i am ....late

Re: 1981 Boss 24"

Talked to Carlo last night and he told me he never did any such a thing with frames he said he would rather cut it up and build a new one.He did say if a frame was broke and could be re welded and or use a gusset ( for strength) he would. I had Frank  Post's Darrell Young design JMC frame and fork and Carlo welded Boss plates down by the bottom bracket. He did make some frames for Richie, that frame looks like my buddies loop tail 26 inch Boss. Richie was on Patterson in 1981 i think that was the year he won the Jag world champioship too on Patterson. Take it easy. The decals look to be mid 90's very sweet bike though.
