Re: 2009 Colony Bloody Oath
They are OK if you are going brakeless, but with the proper brake I have, it was making very loud squeaking noises. I have changed the pads, and it help, but now the green on the rim is starting to streak. I was thinking of getting some Odyssey 7K rims, and have them powercoding green, leaving the back rim's brake area unpainted. Not sure yet.

Re: 2009 Colony Bloody Oath
Your right, it is backward. I had it with the large link going forward at first, but I think it rides smoother this way. The direction of the chain is recommended to increase chain life, but it will still work in both directions. The Shadow interlock 2 chain I have on my Floval, which is in the recommended direction, runs very smooth. But the Mechanik Hollow-Trac Chain I have on my other two bikes, I tried the recommended direction but like the way it feels this way. It runs quieter and smoother. My sputnic still has picks showing the chain in the recommended direction, but I have already swaped it around.

Re: 2009 Colony Bloody Oath
you can go to DAN'S COMP and get one. The bloody black one is nice. I think I am going back to the old chain (non half link) on the colony.

Re: 2009 Colony Bloody Oath
It was new when these photos were taken, I had to replace many things, but lucky for me, these parts are about half the price now. But at this time, you are right. I don't ride this that much anymore after I got my fly bikes. I mostly ride them and my floval.

Re: 2009 Colony Bloody Oath
Another sweet new school ride, you've got a touch for new school with extreme color schemes, I like that. Not on the beaten path..........![]()
