1980 Mongoose Supergoose
Bought this one from my childhood friend. He had it stuffed in a box for the last 15 years in his basement. I brought her out of hibernation. Bike is all original aside from grips,brakes,seat post,seat clamp,and seat. Everything else is OEM...Team forks,SS bars, Gold Stem, Mongoose stamped cranks, with OG gold spider and chainring! Even the pedals are original! The red Tuffs were a 30.00 upcharge at the time over alloy rims.Also pictured is the original bike manual. He even gave me the original bill of sale! Bike was $292.00 which included the tax and the 30.00 upcharge for the Tuff's. My friend got this bike as a birthday present in May of 1980 for his 9th birthday.It's hard to believe that I still have mine... and now his. I rode side by side this bike from 1980 till 1985 with the red '80 mongoose I posted on this site...Now she's in the museum!

nice! great story. and even better to have the manual and original sales slip. I found an 83 and the guy gave me the manual and sales slip aswell. thats a keeper
