1978 GJS
1978 GJS
Early GJS race bike.
I recieved this bike in trade not long ago. It is probably from the Chico area. I always loved the GJS frame as i had traded or sold mine away for a Patterson or a GT etc. I actually had a chrome frame with the GJS fork, blue one and red for a total of 3. That is what we did back then. I have several pictures of me on mine, my bro too. Anyway i just wanted to share this bike and remenisce about an important time in my life. I repainted the frame with my automotive setup, so it would aweswome!!! Some of the parts are NOS!!!!
serial number is 81968
Seat and pedals are on the way. bike is done. I will upload the new pictures. posted now.
email me if you cant live without a GJS. Should be a big offer as this frame is soooo rare.

Re: 1978 GJS
If you repainted, where did the blue stickers come from?
Unreal job.
Thx.

Re: 1978 GJS
A big appeal of GJS BITD was the longer frame than many others in the day. Great for older riders. Center to center, head tube to seatpost should be about 19". 17.5" if just the top tube. At least that's what mine measures, and as far as I know, they're all the same.
