I downloaded their 2009 Catalog...i'm a bit disappointed i can say sad
Quality of the early 2000 has gone down..no good cranks anymore, no good stems anymore, no forks, no USA-made parts sad

That's right - the new Haro Freestyler is a high-tensile steel frame with just a single cr-mo tube.  Uber-lame.  Count me out on this one.  What the hell is Haro thinking???

The new Haro catalog also confirms this.  Oh, and the fork isn't even cr-mo - and this bike costs $550???  Talk about a letdown!

It's called marketing. The powers that be at Haro are just trying to cash in on the whole retro thing while they can. They figure enough old guys that rode Haros back in the day will want another one that reminds them of their glory days, and they also figure there will be guys that buy their kids a "retro" Haro because they had one way back when. Same thing SE did, except SE puts out a decent bike.
Look at the success Ford and Chrysler are having with their retro cars- the bigwigs know a cash cow when they see one.

For $550.00 you'd figure you would get a front brake and pegs...but I guess they were trying to keep the weight under 50 lbs.
