Re: 1985 Haro Sport
Looks great! This was the first freestyle bike I got jazzed about too. Seeing it in the mags was cool, but once I actually saw Ron Wilkerson riding it at a show I really wanted one! I ended up buying a Master instead, but am really, really thinking about trying to get one of these for my next project.![]()

Re: 1985 Haro Sport
That's the first frame I ever bought. I remember I bought the frame then took all the parts off my Roadmaster bike, which was basically a department store rip off of a haro. I then spent the next year or so replacing one part at a time until it was a complete Sport. Sold it eventually for a $100. Wish I had kept it. I think I need to build one of these too.

Very nice. I rode that exact frame BITD. Had the green tuff's to match! Went out to the garage one day to find someone had helped themselves to my ride. Never saw it again... Thanks for sharing your bike with us!

Re: 1985 Haro Sport
Yeah! I wanted a blue one too. I guess so did the rest of the country. Ended up with a chrome one and
was disappointed for about 5 seconds. Saved up for months to buy that bike. Spent more time on her than with most my girlfriends. The bike slowly evolved through the years as different parts bent and broke but the frame and seat post clamp remained the same. Then in '91 while street riding I bunny hopped over a curb and the bottom tube snapped in half. All the welds were in tact. I kneeled for a while before my fallen friend, then scooped her up in my arms and carried her off to my dorm room. A friend of mine who still rode vert, offered to buy the frame from me. He said that he might be able to weld it and bring her back to life. Luckily I got a hold of, I think an "87 (raised spikes on back platforms) that was chrome and pretty much identical to my original. I was just out riding vert again with her today at the local skate park. It has been 18 years since I caught air. Felt really good. The only original part is the seat post clamp.
Do you know what the paint specs are for the powder day glow blue? I am looking to repaint another.
Thanks,
Rich
