2005 Haro Backtrail X0
2005 Haro Backtrail X0
this is my custom bike, i built
This bike started life out as a stock 2005 haro backtrail XO. 2004 and 2005 were the only years they released an XO model that came with a CRO-MO seat tube frame!!. The X0 was released in 04, and was discontinued in 2006. The XO was considered the JR. model, but was only 1/2 inch to 1 inch smaller in dimention, when compared to the x1,x2, and x3 (x3 was full chrome-oly). This smaller frame size of the x0 brought the stock weight down from 30+lbs., to 28.3 lbs.when compared to the x1. The bigger '05 X1 was almost 2 lbs heavier. but the frame dimentions were almost identical. head angle- 74.5 wheel base- 35.7" chain stay- 14.33. it has a 44 tooth sprocket, A 3 piece cro-mo 175mm sealed "FUSION" crankset, i put a 4 piece chromoly mongoose knee saver handle bar on, as well as a mongoose shorty seat, attached to a haro cro-mo low profile seat post. and a cro-mo mongoose fork. the coolest part to me, is that i have the 2005 frame riding on black acs stealth mags from a 2003 haro f3 mag bike. 3 spoke mags..( i love them from when i was young) i also have a set of 58-spoke 2 wall rims for back up . lol the frame color is "cat yellow" and i like it a lot. The pedals are purple aluminum victor pro, they re rated 5 star in quality, and i recomend them to anyone. there ment for a mountain bike, so it gives me a nice big platform because i have size 13 feet. it currently has no breaks but im putting on some soon. i made this bike from bikes i found in the dumpsters around town. i love rebuilding bmx bikes. its fun watching them come together stock bike weight - 28.3lbs current weight - 25.5lbs. overall it is a fun solid ride. (my dream bike is a 87-89 GT dyno comp, i will own one someday) so this bike is part haro backtrail x0, haro f3 mag, and mongoose bikes all in one lol.

Re: 2005 Haro Backtrail X0
im looking for any input, good or bad. i mean This bike frame started off life found in a dumpster, the forks were badly bent. i know its by far not considered a " high end bike " but for the price ( free) you cant beat it!! lol. i was unassure if i would be able to figure out how to open up this style of head unit, because i havnt done this style before. A quick you tube search provided the info i needed, and 30 mins later i had the bent junk forks replaced with an un-painted mongoose Chrome-oly fork set, connected to the frame by a
1-1/8" Haro TH power-pro aheadset. i replaced the crappy 2- piece, black painted, Haro high-ten "seven" handlebars, with a lighter, stronger un-painted 4-piece , mongoose , chrome-oly handlebar set . The whole thing rides on a light weight black set of GT 3-spoke mag rims,. ive shaved almost 3 lbs off of the stock weight of 28.3lbs to 25.5lbs, and it has decent top speed 44t front and a 16t rear. Old skool gear ratio for the win!!! LMAO!! fun bike to jump!! ride smooth as silk, and is almost bullet proof. ill post more pics, after i give it a good wash, the pic i posted shows the bike a lil dirty as hell, lol. more detail to come.

Re: 2005 Haro Backtrail X0
what was wierd to me was that, this bike frame from what i can tell from the paint job and sprocket, was a 2005 backtrail X0, but the rims i found on it when it was in the trash are different. when i looked them up i found out they were from a haro, but not an 05 harro backtrail like the frame, there from a 2003 haro f3 mag bike!! so how wierd is that,??? the rims say " acs stealth " so there from an '03 F3 mag bike for sure, how they got on a '05 backtrail IDK. there not even from an 05 f3 mag like one would think, cause those came with acs "stellar" rims, not "stealth". the 03 had the stealth rims,. so it blew my mind to find an 05 with 03 rims from a different frame.. . but im happy as hell cause the 05 backtrail looks good as hell with these 03 haro F3 acs stealth mags on it
