1998 Morales Flatland (sold 2010)

(Poverty stock)

most recent addition to morales stable!

this right here is an experiment I had wanted to make in a while, taking a twin top tube frame and stripping it raw, then giving it a finish similar to old general osborn pros, but over raw,not chrome, this is one sturdy kid!I set it up for riding as usual, and enjoy it a lot, since due to the front end being modern,it feels a tad different than the usual morales would.the wheels are alex supra j's,nankai techno lite coaster hub, haro stem, flat suelo type bars, camacura bar ends, sugino one piece 165mm cranks, quamen sprocket, irc rear tire, cst freaky v tire upfront, and assorted other fave flat gear...

Re: 1998 Morales Flatland (sold 2010)

test log#2:

after about 4 months of almost daily riding ,both flat, shows, transportation,etc...I can affirm this must be the sturdiest flat bike I have yet assembled, nothing ever comes loose,or tweaks,or anything!it is a bit heavy, partly because of the supra j's/nankais but the wheels are what round off the sturdiness,it does set me off when I ride the sick child or haro, since the weight difference is evident, but it just feels so good,I always end up riding this one!

Wow - very cool looking ride!  I really like the modern interpretation of the old school "look".

Frankly though, I have NO idea how the heck you're doing what you are on it in those pics...sick.

Re: 1998 Morales Flatland (sold 2010)

This bike is sooo sick Jose. I'm gonna have to buy myself a Morales when I find one and try flatland. I suck at flatland and park and I'd really like to improve in those fields of bmx so I guess I gotta by a flatland frame lol. You and Chromey are my fav. riders on the site by far! You guys are always thrashin in your pics and it looks like so much fun. Once again Sick bike and riding skills...just keep on keeping on lol

The names Sam..I'm 21 and loving life! I was gone for a while but I'm back now wink. I'm crazy about S&M and Blk Mrkt stuff! My other hobbies besides bikes are JEEPS, Women and daily visits to the gym...just a little bit about me; your turn!

GO STEELERS AND PENS!!!

Re: 1998 Morales Flatland (sold 2010)

ive been a fan of this bike for a while.
keep coming back to look at your pictures.

it might be the green tire,   or your action photo,  but its realley good lookin man.,

quick question -  what gear ratio u running ?   12 rear 28 front ?  or something else ?
and your seat post - looks like you have a home brew shim in there ?
any details on that....
ive just got my first yellow morales - second gen  and was totaly shocked to see that fat seat tube hole.   31.6mm is kinda large for a seat post on a bmx bike....  lol

Bass adicted - car stereo crazy - flatlanding any bike with pegs
hittin switches in the old school low low goin down the block
rollin on Dz  and blastin my musics

I got a set of KORE forks like the ones you see on those Morales bikes just sitting around here! Nice bikes by the way!

Looking for an ACS 55 slant stem if anyone has one & possibly a set of Kore Candy bars?

What do you suppose they are worth being chrome? The ones I got are treaded w/a pac-man style end and I bolted on a set of chrome pegs to them. I got them off a guy that was parting out his Morales bike!
