1980 Race Inc. RA 7

My winter project.

I got this off e bay as a complete bike it was a bargain .This will replace the one i got rid of after moving house last year a bike i had owned since 1981 !see photos .i am still angry with myself.anyway i hope to have it sand blasted and re annoed gold .i am not to sure about the age as it has undrilled forks any ideas ? serial number ra39948. Just got around to stripping off the old paint ,forks just need another look at with the gold paint.finished painting now , really pleased to get a full set of pads made by rad pad .ok just put on the stickers 3/2/09 wow and then put in the lovely tange 125 headset and been drooling over it ,even the missus is impressed ,also got a acs seat clamp to go on my gold nipples arrived today also the wheelbuild is next .nos 36 hole z rims laced up with gold spokes and nipples ,pair of acs hubs really pleased they look killer !powerlite expert bars ,sst dirt skirt ,i have got a black and gold bell chain to go on but no gold cranks yet hoping to have a 2 speed set up on it too.i have finally got the 2 speed suntour holeshot set up working ,but it is with a shimano lever it matches the gold .

:)Yes they are pictures of me it dates from about 84 when i didn't know weather i wanted to freestyle or race ,should have carried on racing and not put that race inc through all the abuse ,thanks for looking i got loads more old pics might put afew more on .

How did you strip off the old annodizing ? What did you use ?

:)Hi there i used a product called nitromorse it will strip off paint like there's no tomorrow but it will also take your skin off ,it burns like crazy too if you use it i would recomm end gauntlets and goggles or glasses to protect yourself ,but it is good stuff ,cheers .i live in the uk so i don't know if you have the product ,or it could be under a different name .

:DHi thanks for the comments if i could get some yellow powdered bullseye cranks that would look just so trick with the yellow rad pads.:)ps love the torker .
