Re: 1983 Kuwahara 24"

Parts are very hard to find

i whas lucky that the original fork and bars came whit it
they looked like crap but will be  10 out of 10

as reference i use the site of jamie
lots of info on all kuwi bikes
the dutch add that shows a variaty of models  i use that as my guide to build

Re: 1983 Kuwahara 24"

Thanks
Its so hard to find the high flange hub for the front, so ive decided to go all out and get some 24' skyways. im restoring the original mx1000 brake calipers and levers. rechroming forks, bars and frame (all are original). the frame is stamped T2E1567 so im thinking its actually a 1982 model As far i understand the T=Tange, 2=1982, E=May, and its the 1567 of the run.

hows the rebuild so far?

Re: 1983 Kuwahara 24"

It has the original single piece crank which is rusted and im thinking about putting a 3 piece on, what do you think would be the best option keeping in mind originality?

Re: 1983 Kuwahara 24"

redline 400 or 401 flight cranks would be the best option
the 401 in combination whit a kuwahara powerdisc is awsome

also the sugino ct cranks look awsome on this bike
