1975 Kawasaki BX2000

Kawasaki

I got this at a bike shop auction.  I was in a bidding war with this kid who really wanted it but not as bad as me.  I finally ended the auction with a 15 dollar victory.  If any know more about this bike i would appreciate a message.  does any one have stickers?

If you haven't already, check out vintagebmx.com and os-bmx.com This site (bmxmuseum) and the one's mentioned, are really the 3 best sources for all old school BMX stuff. There are a ton of people who can help you out. BTW, that is a pretty serious piece of BMX history you have and many people will want to lead you in the direction you need for parts etc. Good luck and congrats on your score!

Re: 1975 Kawasaki BX2000

I remember these from when I had a Yamaha Moto-Bike in the mid 70's.  Lime green, black lettering, black banana seats...   There was also a similiar bike brand named "Prince" that a shop sponsored kid raced in my town.  It looks a lot sturdier than the Moto-Bike with all that gusseting.  Is it stamped Kawasaki?

I have a friend that has two of these hanging in his storage, he will trade them to me, but not sell them to me, trying to figure out the value of them.  very cool bike, sorry for the other kid, he needs new school anyway.  old school rules!

Re: 1975 Kawasaki BX2000

cool   I had one of these when they were NEW! I grew up in a motorcycle dealership, we carried the Kawasaki BMX bicycle's for a couple years...  hmmm I wonder where that thing went....

I always though it would have been cool to put the Yamaha bicycle fork (real suspension) on the kawasaki frame (with rear suspension) a full suspension BMX'er!
