Great condition. I'm curious about the wheels, What brand are they?.

Re: 1998 SE Racing Quadangle XXL

Thanks for your compliment.
To answer your question: the rims are Velocity brand "Aeroheat deep V's"
These were made in Australia in the mid 90s.
The hubs are Shimano DX cassette, fitted with a 16t cog.
Laced up with straight gauge stainless spokes.

Re: 1998 SE Racing Quadangle XXL

Those Deep V's make it almost look like an 18" wheel. I love these frames, looking for on of my own to race.

Ohh this was the color of the bike in the BMX plus add which put quadangle's frames in my fist BMX bike ever!
Could you let me know the seatpost size, I have the same frame and I'm racing it again, but really love to update this part and is a bit extrange to match the size.
Thanks in advance!

Re: 1998 SE Racing Quadangle XXL

That same ad you are talking about made me buy my one!! I believe the seat pole size is 27.2mm.  This is what I think the size is without actually taking mine out.  I do not have access to the quad at the moment.  (Too much stuff in the way!).  Cheers. Dave.

Now we both know the size.  Sorry for steering you astray.  Damn big width seat poles!

Cheers, Dave

NP Dave! all I know is that I would love to keep racing this bike, but some parts are really hard to leave to a reazonable weight... I think is time to move the 2009 quad and store this beauty girl

Re: 1998 SE Racing Quadangle XXL

Sounds like a good idea, Drex.  Store it for a few years, then take it out and ride it.  This way you will remember what a truely classic mid schooler BMX feels like again.  Cheers.  Dave

This must be that BMX Plus! add that you guys have been talking about.  This one is from the September 1998 BMX Plus! mag.

I recently started riding trails again...  They call me 'The Engineer' at Sheep Hills, lol.

Please take a look at the ID. If I was a betting person, I would put a ton on it being an AC killer!
