1984 GT Pro Performer
1984 GT Pro Performer
99% Original Survivor. The only thing not original is the chain.
I aquired this bike from member drunger215, the original owner, a little over a year ago. He rode this baby for like three months back in 1984 and then shelved it for 23 years. I am very fortunate to have been able to aquire this bike. The is the bike I always wanted when I was a kid. The only thing I've done to this thing is cleaned it up and polished it. I added the 2007 repro GT padset a few months ago and I really think they help set the look off. Thanks for looking.

Nice score. A virtual twin to my own original 84. I have the same pads too but never put them on mine. Now I know what it would look like.

Re: 1984 GT Pro Performer
That has got to be the finest example of a Pro Performer anywhere. I love it. Interesting that it came with a white seat post though. Oh, I have a GT/Izumi chain that came off an 85 GT, not sure if that is what they used in 84, but it's original to my 85 and it's for sale if you are interested.

Yeah, the Tuff-Neck stem that's on it looks exactly like that except it doesn't have the GT logo. ![]()
