1997 Standard STA-500
1997 Standard STA-500
"Stronger Than All"
When I first posted this I thought it was a 1999 model because that was the year I purchaced it however after talking with Waterford Precision Cycles and running my serial number I was informed it is actually a 1997 model. It was manufactured in August of that year and is number 133 in that production run. The frame was orderd with custom paint (brown)

Re: 1997 Standard STA-500
No I dont have the stickers, and Standard dont have them either, those are either extremely rare or extinct. And thanks, yeah, this bike was a custom order, they didnt have brown in 1999 when I orderd it. Whats even more rare is this bike is chrome under the paint, I asked standard about this and they said they dont usually do that type of stuff, apparently waterford didnt have any raw frames so they painted over a chrome one. Obviously I dont mind becasuse my frame is going to last longer. If you look closely you can see chrome where the paint has chipped off.

You could say crazy, I think its awsome, it protects the metal underneath and adds rarity to the frame. ![]()
