1950 Schwinn

This thing rolls sweet! Makes me want to jump even though its just for looking cool!

I got this frame in 2006 and was going to build it as a klunker MTN bike. I opted for BMX parts since I am going to use it as my daily commuter, and looking hella cool is important to me.
1950 Schwinn straight bar frame, Ashta Bula fork, 26 x 1.75 Araya's with Atom drum brake hubs, single pinch 401's with Profile Imperial chain ring for bling, Manowar bars, Ame Tri's, Peregrine Stem, Tech 77's, Odyssey seat on generic fluted post, Victor Bear Trap pedals, Dynatron Head set and BB. Wheels will get CAP bath soon, very soon.

Re: 1950 Schwinn

The Drum Brakes work better than Nippons! Can't Fail is on Hollis right? I don't really drink any more but I still meet my friends at pubs, I just get the fake stuff now. I would be down to ride and or meet up. I set my own schedule so lmk when a good time for you is.

Re: 1950 Schwinn

This bike is sick. Makes me want to build one and now I will. I used to have a sick cruiser when I was a kid. After my 1.5 arrays got tweaked on my dimon back I put my takagi cranks Cw bars and everything on my Cruiser. I was racing 80cc mx at the time. That cruiser would hit anything in the canyon and it felt just like being on my 80.
I see how you would like to catch air on it, build another one for that this ones a classic!

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Nice Mike.  Looks good.  So this is what you've been working on lately.  Haven't seen you around for awhile.  smile

My Father once spoke to me and said "The way you look at your bike is the way I see My children, I look past the imperfections and rough surfaces to the beauty of the finished product."

Nice Cruiser, Just did a 73 Breeze for my wife, kept it more stock, but this makes me want to revamp. Again, great job!
